The Boise Blues Society sponsors an annual picnic and food
drive with performers such as Duffy Bishop, The Paul DeLay
Band, Jimmy Lloyd Rea & the Switchmasters, and Ellen
Whyte just to name a few. Each year the Boise Blues Society's
annual picnic is responsible for collecting almost 2 tons
of canned food, which we proudly donate to a Boise food
bank.
Our annual membership dues are only $15 a year per person,
or $20 for a family or band membership. This money is used to promote local
blues and to champion this great music called "The
Blues".
What Else Do We Do?
In the past the Boise Blues Society has:

Released
5 CD's of local blues artists so far. The
most recent, "Behind the Mic," features 18 original songs by
local artists and has been very well received.

Organized and hosted Jam Sessions at various local
venues.

Awarded the "Ashley" award to the person or
persons who have significantly promoted the blues in the
Treasure Valley.

Published the "The Blues News", a quarterly
publication featuring information, news and reviews of
the Treasure Valley blues and beyond.
